Château La Mascaronne

WHO WE ARE

This 45-ha. estate is situated in the heart of Provence, not far from St. Tropez, in rolling hills surrounded by oak forests.  The rocky, chalk-clay vineyard lies at 300 meters, sloping south, southwest toward the Mediterranean, with an ideal climate of warm days and cool nights, and the omnipresence of Mistral winds.  The domaine was acquired in 1999 and completely renovated by American Tom Bove, the original developer of Château Miraval.

Château La Mascaronne follows organic farming practices, certification pending, with meticulous techniques to elevate quality and reduce yields. Vines are grown on trellises with single cordon pruning, density restrained at 4000 vines/ha., manual ploughing, leaf pulling and green harvest.  Yields do not exceed 35hL/ha.
