Founded by Ann Colgin in 1992, Colgin Cellars is widely regarded as one of the “First Growths” of California’s famed Napa Valley. With 26 acres of prime vineyards, Colgin vines include Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Syrah. Total annual production is approximately 4,000 cases.
The winery and principal vineyards (21 acres) are located on Pritchard Hill, in the eastern hills above St. Helena. Colgin Cellars also owns the historic Tychson Hill Vineyard (5 acres) near Calistoga, and purchases grapes from David Abreu’s Madrona Ranch on the western side of St. Helena.
Colgin continues to be managed by Ann Colgin, assited by her husband Joe Wender and Paul Roberts, MS. The winemaking team is headed by Allison Tauziet.
